| CHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
The Chief Investment Officer is responsible for the firm's alternative investment tactics and strategy including collateralized debt obligations (CDO). He/she will lead and supervises the firm's Alternative Investment organization comprising of Investment Analysts, Research Analysts, Business Development Team, and Portfolio Managers.
This position requires an experienced investment professional, who possess strong communication skill and can speak knowledgeably with media and investors, both private and institutional, about the firm's philosophy; who will work collaboratively with the team to manage the investment portfolios; and who will define and drive through the organization the appropriate asset allocation guidelines and protocols.
Responsibilities:
Have a direct impact on the profitability of the firm through strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.
Utilize understanding of macro- and micro-economic issues to develop and articulate the firm's investment strategy and view of the economy, markets and global issues.
Oversee relationships and negotiations with external investment managers, consultants and custodians; make recommendations on external providers.
Professional Requirements:
Excellent academic and professional credentials, including a CFA and/or CFP designation.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant investment experience, familiar with structured products, credit risk and the management of Corporate CDOs, ABS CDOs and CLOs.
Working knowledge of alternative asset classes including hedge funds, private equity, commodities, real estate, etc.
Management and communication skills demonstrating success in managing a team of investment professionals; and in presenting to, guiding, and working with institutional and foundation client organizations.
