Estimator Position
Role description
Senior Estimator for Tampa-based full service custom millwork and casework company.
Your role will be to:
1. Perform a preliminary assessment of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for suitability and scheduling purposes.
2. Generate detailed take offs and creation of fabrication and installation estimates from reading and processing blueprints and plans.
3. Use proprietary casework and millwork estimation software.
4. Liaise with GCs, architects and designers with Requests for Clarification.
5. Generate project renderings for proposal purposals.
6. Maintain vendor/materials price database.
7. Develop and maintain sub-contractor and specialty vendor relationships.
8. Communicate with Project Manager, Marketing Team and Production team to coordinate and refine estimates and their timing.
9. Mentor and train other estimators and interns.
Requirements

5. At least five years relevant estimator experience, and experience as at least a Level 2 Finish Carpenter.
6. Proficiency with state of the art online take-off software, such as Planswift or similar.
7. Proficiency with Office suite software, particularly Excel.
8. Proficiency with casework design software (Cabinet Vision would be a particular advantage).
9. Proficiency with AutoCAD, or similar software, for custom millwork shop drawing would be another particular advantage.
