| Job description: |
| HSE Manager responsible for the Planning, Implementation and Supervising the Company’s HSE Management System to ensure safe and healthy working conditions for a workforce of 1,500 personnel involved in the coating activities for large diameter oil and gas pipelines. |
| Skills: |
Diploma in Industrial Safety and or Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health. Preference will be given to those holding Electrical or Mechanical Degree.
Minimum 8 years of experience managing a large workforce with demonstrated experience in supervising personnel
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage a HSE Management System
Ability to conduct studies and analysis; formulate and recommend policies and measures to reduce or eliminate accidents, health hazards and damage to life and property
Develop, supervise and coordinate training programs to increase proficiency in safe practice and promote fire and safety consciousness; counsel supervision on safety matters and conduct safety seminars/workshops as needed for a multi-cultural workforce.
Ability to plan, encourage and assist supervisors to carry out “on the job training” with all related workers
Experienced in cultural based safety systems
Ability to plan, monitor and implement annual HSE programs
Computer literate and capable of managing company’s HSE databases
Ability to plan and implement testing and certification of heavy equipment and also safety equipment
Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills with Oral and Written English
Analytical mind, dynamic personality and team player
Quick thinker and quick to respond to any emergency situation
Must be customer service oriented and have strong allegiance to the Company and dedication to “leading by example”
