| Primary Objective of Job:
This challenging start-up role requires an experienced professional with strong financial and commercial skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Reporting to the Country CEO and with a dotted line to the Regional CFO your responsibilities will include providing accurate, timely and reliable financial information to the Fiji management team and to the Pacific Group.
You will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the financial controls and procedures of the company and ensuring consistency of accounting policy and procedures.
You will be required to hire, train and ensure the day to day management of the Finance team. Provide monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting to the Shareholders through the Pacific Group structure. Actively participate in the financing of the Fiji Business and maintain relationships with financial institutions. Operational cash-flow management and balance sheet control will be essential elements of the role.
Requirements:
•Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 8 years post qualification experience.
•FMCG or Telecommunications experience
•Ability to make excellent presentations of the financial results to the Fiji management team, Board of Directors and Shareholders.
•Staff management experience is essential, as is a strong grasp of modern reporting systems.
•You must be willing and eager to contribute, as part of a senior management team, to the development of the local business in line with corporate objectives. The challenge will be to impose tight financial control while ensuring the rapid growth of the company.
