| Primary objective of the job:
Develop, gain agreement for and ensure achievement of business growth, retention & profitability levels from all existing and prospective elements of Digicel’s consumer and business offerings, while constantly developing service standards. The role will entail responsibility for the various consumer and business channels.
Academic qualifications and experience required for job:
•5 years (min) sales management experience; significant track record in professional sales and channel management, demonstrating leadership rather than supervisory management techniques.
•Track record in strategic thinking and planning, translated into action.
•Proven commercial awareness with regard to revenue generation and cost reduction
•Engaging interpersonal style with strong persuasion skills.
•Open and straightforward behavioral style.
•Clear thinking and clear communications skills.
•Well developed interpersonal and negotiating skills.
•Comfort level functioning at executive and Board levels.
•Sense of ownership and responsibility with a proven record of working on own initiative as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team
•Financial planning and budget management experience.
•Ability to take on and meet targets consistently and to take ownership for results.
•Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Experience in selling major capital projects where committee based selling is required.
Shares with CEO and other members of the management team the total company revenue targets, leadership and vision challenges of the organization.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•In conjunction with the CEO and senior management team, formulate annual and monthly business and consumer revenue and expenditure plans and budgets - managing & monitoring and adjusting for variances as required.
•Maintain full revenue responsibility comprising individual sales transaction targets for the business and consumer sales channels through working closely with all retail partners and direct sales teams, consistently maximising selling opportunities through all available channels.
•Identify and proactively develop business opportunities within the various channels for business growth.
•Formulate, agree & ensure achievement of company sales & profit objectives within each channel through the management of the retail and direct sales channels.
•Review sales and distribution performance by partner/ channel type and ensure the development and delivery of effective channel specific sales and work with marketing on promotional strategies.
•Lead, develop & motivate channel teams to achieve pre-agreed new business, retention & category service revenue levels.
•Maximize sales through all existing and prospective consumer and business channels optimising visibility and sales for the Digicel brand in terms of new connections (pre and post pay) and upgrades.
•Working with the Marketing group to ensure the optimal communication of Digicel’s business capabilities to the business markets.
•Ensure a high-degree of customer-intimacy through regular meetings and contacts with customers which complement the work of the account management team.
•Oversee the development of all sales channels ensuring a best in class customer experience while achieving sales targets across a range of network devices, products and services.
•Work closely with the Distribution team to implement Digicel’s distribution strategy across the various diverse channels.
•Work closely with the marketing team to take advantage of consumer insights and market analysis to drive revenue growth.
•Manage and co-ordinate activities and take full responsibility for the management and development of the sales and channel teams.
•Contribute to the success of Digicel in the Pacific region through active teamwork with participation in cross-company projects and processes.
