Job Description for Engineer (Civil/ Structural)
Role :
Develop And Design Civil/ Structural Engineering Related Documents In Order To Meet Project And Client Requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities:
o Prepare Structural Design Basis, Specifications, Mto, Layout Etc.
o Design Of Buildings And Other Structures Such As Flare Towers, Piperacks, Equipment Foundations, Including General Arrangements And Structural Detailing.
o Assist In Specification Of Site Preparation And Enabling Works Like Site Grading, Drainage And Roads And Design Structures Such As- Plant And Non-Plant Buildings, Process Buildings And Utilities (Cooling Tower, Firewater & Dm Plant).
o Understand Material Specifications For Equipment And Piping Etc.
o Review Vendor Documents, Structural Drawings, Prepare Technical Bid Evaluation, Feasibility Study Etc.
o Interact With Other Engineering Disciplines, Identify The Inputs Required By Them And Accordingly Provide The Same.
o Prepare Man-Hour Estimates And Budgetary Quotations And List Of Deliverables For The Role Of New Work Order Proposals.
o In Addition To The Duties And Responsibilities Listed The Job Holder Is Required To Perform Other Duties Assigned By The Supervisor/Manager From Time To Time.
Minimum Technical/ Professional / Job Requirements:
o Understand Project Scope Of Work And Participate In Receipt And Analysis Of Work Requirement.
o Determine Estimated Time/ Man-Hours For Work Completion.
o Understand Project And Client Requirement For Structural Engineering Discipline.
o Understand The Contractual Scope Of Work And Raise Variation Requests For Any Work Not Covered As Part Of The Work Scope But Is Required To Be Undertaken For Job Completion.
o Be Aware Of The Health, Safety & Environmental (Hse) Aspects Of The Work.
o Provide Work Direction To Staff At Lower Levels And Liaise With Supervisor For All Work Related Activities.
o Should Have At Least 5 Years Experience In The Oil & Gas Industry, Both Offshore And Onshore, In The Structural Discipline.
