| Technical Manager - Construction

Our client, one of UAE’s leading construction companies is seeking to recruit a high caliber Technical Manager who will be handling all technical aspects across projects. Reporting to the Project Director, your main responsibility is to ensure a smooth flow and progress of work processes in line with the pre-set plans. You will act as a liaison between the Company/ Client/ Engineering Department and the Project for all technical issues, coordinate technical activities, find solutions to technical problems as they arise & ensure proper execution of all technical works. In addition, you will study, interpret and review the construction specifications and drawings, ensure all details are included, identify any design problems, and resolve the same. You will quantify the materials required from the drawings and recommend the specifications to procure the materials for drawing modification which will be used as a sourcing tool.

To succeed in this role, you must be a Civil Engineering graduate, with minimum 10 years hands-on technical expertise in various fields such as design engineering, materials, and construction in large construction projects. Conversant with all kinds of drawings namely P&ID, Plot plan, Piping layout, isometrics, equipment layout, foundation drawings, structural steel drawings, single line diagram, hook up diagrams, etc. Familiarity with international codes like ASTM, BS, DIN, etc. Excellent problem solving and communication skills; computer skills with expertise in Primavera or equivalent, is required.
