| Our client, a Singapore-based company is seeking a topnotch professional for a large development project that includes a Port, a Free Trade Zone, and a Chemical Complex in Lagos, Nigeria.
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER (PORT)
Responsibilities:
Assess all project deliverables at a high level, looking for project modifications and concerns, and changing the plan as decisions are made.
Direct the overall project and ensure its successful completion within the cost and time requirements.
Provide leadership and guide the project team in the development, execution and progress of the project.
Manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), project change control and risks, and remove issues barriers.
Identify commercially workable concepts, understand the risks and constraints involved, develop them, and complete the project.
Invite tenders and evaluate bids and ensure engineering design from vendors and consultants are sufficient.
Prepare feasibility studies and budgets and assess viability of projects and associated activities.
Develop project scope, costs and execution plans and clearly define estimated results.
Manage project resources people, money within agreed limit.
Organize activities of owner, consultant, and construction contractor during the engineering/design, construction planning, installation, commissioning and start-up phases, with due consideration to safety and quality aspects.

Qualifications:
Graduate of Engineering (Civil, Marine, or Mechanical).
Minimum 15 years hand-on experience, preferably with international exposure, in project management of large port capital projects, including lead roles for owner company or major EPC contractor.
Proven experience in developing and managing a multi-discipline project team, preferably multinational in nature
Strong understanding and experience in mega-development project finance, risk assessment, high-level project evaluation, and project structuring.
Knowledge in contractual and legal framework as well as regulatory standards, international codes/standards/procedures.
Strong business acumen and commercial experience, negotiation and consensus building skills; excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, including listening and client management skills; assertive in nature and has the ability to see the big picture of things.
