| Finance & Admin Manager
Our client is a company involved in Oil and Gas exploration and production activities worldwide. In Malaysia, our client is an Pperator of 9 PSC’s and one of the fastest growing companies in the Oil & Gas industry. They are looking for a high level professional to fill a vacant position in our KL office. Seeking URGENTLY Qualified and Suitable candidates.
Closing Date : 11 JANUARY 2008
Nationalities : Preferably Expatriates with specific skills in US GAAP Accounting experience
Requirements:
• Manage the finance and administrative functions of the Malaysian operations to support our business objectives
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to local management and home office
• Safeguard the company’s assets in Malaysia
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for the Company’s Malaysian operations
• Administer the Production Sharing Contracts
• Maintain an IT system that meets the needs of our operations, is cost-effective, and secure
• Keep the office safe, well-maintained, well-equipped, and well-run.
• Manage the risks of the Malaysian enterprise, including ensuring that adequate insurance coverage is in place and managing any insurance claims that arise.
• Establish and maintain good relations with Petronas, our partners, and relevant government entities
• Maintain a system of community and public relations which enhances the Company’s image in Malaysia and benefits the environments in which we operate
• Comply with all applicable tax laws, while using effective tax planning to minimize the Company’s tax burden
• Manage the treasury functions of the Malaysian office to safeguard the company’s cash, maximize return on our ready cash and to adequately plan for cash needs.
• Work with the HR Manager on compensation and other matters, particularly as they relate to expatriates

| Skills: |
Requirements Skills & Experiences:
• University degree (or similar qualification) in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Minimum 10 years experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry
• Minimum 5 years of management experience
• US GAAP experience is a MUST. (General Accepted Accounting Principles)
• International experience is desirable
• Strong teamwork, communications, and leadership skills
• Familiar with Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Operating Agreements
• Experience with a broad range of administrative activities (tax, treasury, insurance, legal, PR, IT)
• Fluent in oral & written English
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office
