| Our client is seeking for Drilling The Limit (DTL) Engineer to be part of the team in Brunei. All Nationalities are welcomed to apply.
Contract Term : 23 Months

Drilling the Limit (DTL) is a working practice devised by the client to improve project planning and reduce costs; drilling accounts for a major proportion of oil industry expenditure.
Roles and Responsibilities are as follows:
• With the Asset Engineers ensure the effective implementation of the GWDP ( Global Well Delivery process) and the integration of the GWDP with other Global Processes in the company.
• Identify the requirement for Value Creation events (eg Conceptual Well Design Workshops, Post Production Reviews, etc) to support the GWDP.
• Plan, facilitate, document and follow up Value Creation events to ensure that most optimal well designs are selected and drilled efficiently.
• Prioritise well delivery improvement opportunities in the company and ensure the Asset Engineer’s time is optimised to ensure maximum value.
• Ensure GWDP improvement plans are in place for all major campaigns. Coach and mentor Operations Teams and Asset Teams on relentless performance improvement through Technical Limit approach and implementation of the GWDP.
• Through effective co-ordination of the Asset Engineers and thorough implementation of the GWDP with the Operations Teams realize savings identified against the GWDP improvement plans.
Principal Accountabilities
HSE
• Compliance with the HSE policies and procedures as detailed in the HSE Management System, HSE Standards and all other Brunei Shell HSE documentation.
• Fulfill tasks identified in the departmental HSE Plan and ensures presence during monthly office HSE meetings.
Well Delivery Process Responsibilities
Plan Phase
• Liasing with the Asset and Study teams and process owners in the Assets to maximize the benefit of the GWDP for wells services.
• With TSW formulate a plan and complete the role out and implementation of the GWDP for all new Wells in BSP
• Coach and mentor less experienced staff, and act as a role model for them.
• Co-ordinate and prioritise and supervise the Well Services work carried out in all the assets ensuring Well Services Engineer’s work load is evenly distributed.
• Facilitate development of a well delivery plan for each major project immediately following Program Build
• Ensure that Wells issues for each project are critically reviewed through the VAR process and organize separate drilling focussed reviews if they are not.
• Ensure a Program Endorsement is held prior to VAR 4 for all major projects.
• Promote new technologies where applicable
• Facilitate knowledge sharing between Assets and Rig Teams
• Co-ordinate and prioritize WE work to ensure Asset Engineer’s work load is evenly distributed.
Execute Phase
• Mobilizing all players around delivering performance,

• Using the TL methodology to promote innovative thinking
• Intelligent application of the Well Delivery Process ( GWDP)
• Providing people with the skills necessary to perform

Qualifications, Skills, Experiences:
Required
• BSc or B Eng.in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Mechanical Engineering
Experience
• Drilling Round I and Round II exam. A minimum of 6 (ideally 8-10) years exposure to diverse well operations (including some in Well Services) in several operating units, at least 2 years of which at the wellsite (knowledge of "BSP" drilling operations is desirable).
• “Mastery/Skill” level understanding of the WDP, DtL and StL processes and how to apply these processes to maximize value.
• “Skill” level understanding of E&P economics. Able to coach Asset Teams to develop the Value Drivers of their projects and where to focus to get optimal results
• “Skill” level facilitation skills
• Awareness” level of Geology, Reservoir, Production and Facilities Engineering
• Good analytical skills with the ability to translate his/her experience into creative problem solving and new ways of working.
• Knowledge of new technology and it’s application
• A strong interest in business improvement and a genuine belief that DtL and the WDP can have a major impact on company performance.
Training
• Staff shall have completed the SIEP Round I self study exercises and passed the associated exams.
• Shall have attended and practicing relevant Supervisory HSE training.
• Managing HSE in Contracts
Special abilities
• Good interpersonal and public speaking skills. Ability to talk, support, influence, coach and inspire.
• Ability to relate to all levels of staff involved in well delivery from contractor rig site personnel to cluster studies team and an appreciation of what every individual can add to the WDP.
