Reporting to the Legal Management Head, the incumbent will be accountable for overall legal issues pertaining to contracts, agreements, policies and legal documents in line with the tasks given by upper management, as well as acting as a consultant on various legal matters. His responsibilities will include working with international and commercial legal procedures; providing analysis and counseling on legal documents and policies such as: protecting intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, financial offerings, financial structuring, securities offerings, compliance issues for a pre-IPO company, ESOP transactions, nondisclosure agreements, and outsourcing agreements. He will provide advice on labor relations and employee contracts, write and administer vendor & client contracts, patents, and contracts between business units and outsourcing parties. He will anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the company, develop and recommend company policy & procedural improvements between departments, and keep the company up to date on new business laws and regulations.

Skills:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5-7 years Corporate law experience, at least 3 years of which is in UAE. He/she must have a Law degree, preferably with Masters from an accredited law school, and must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He/she must have solid experience in contracts as well as in depth knowledge of UAE and International law. He / she should come from a reputable legal firm or from a multinational / international organization, specialized in international and commercial law, and with license to practice law in UAE. The ability to analyze law cases and provide recommendations, contractual knowledge, tendering, and documentations are required.
