| Under direct supervision of the Library’s Assistant Commissioner for Strategic Planning and Partnerships, the Program Director will oversee the day-to-day coordination and administration of the CyberNavigator program. CyberNavigators work part-time in Chicago Public Library locations assisting the public in using the library’s computers, website, databases, online catalog, Wi-Fi and other technology. The Program Director will recruit, interview, hire, train and oversee the CyberNavigators.
TASKS AND DUTIES
Leads the effort for continuous project improvement
Directs the collaborative relationship of CyberNavigators
Facilitates information flow between CyberNavigators, staff members, branch managers, librarians, and senior staff
Supports curriculum development for training and other resources for CyberNavigators
Develops a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
Recruits, interviews and selects CyberNavigators
Provides direction, input and feedback to project participants
Budget supervision
Working with partners

Demonstrated ability to manage time and tasks independently and appropriately
Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
Proficiency and knowledge of computer technology
Teaching training or instructional experience preferred
Program management experience
