| Our client is seeking a Field Technician who will be responsible for maintaining sufficient inventories of consumables and other exploration equipment. You will be involved in all aspects of exploration including grid line clearing, surveying, mapping, drilling and laboratory activities. The role includes the management of the local workforce involved in the exploration programme on site.
Qualifications & Experience:
Field experience in exploration programmes, including iron ore projects
Current first aid certificate and HR (or equivalent) driving license with good 4WD driving ability
Experience with RC and diamond drilling programmes
Strong knowledge of drill sampling procedures & logistic support requirements
Key Skills & Attributes:
Flexible and hard-working
Good mechanical skills and ‘can-do’ attitude
Familiar with modern HSE standards as applicable to this location
Competency with computer applications (word, excel) and good written and communication skills
Excellent communication and reporting ability
French language skills are valued as a plus.
