Job Description
The ADE WaferSight Applications & Metrology Manager is a challenging position leading a technical group that works with development engineering, marketing, customers, and industry standards groups to insure the WaferSight platform solves current and future semiconductor process problems. The WaferSight is our flagship bare wafer geometry measurement product within KLA-Tencor's ADE Division. The position reports directly to the head of ADE Marketing.
This exciting position requires capability in three areas:
* Applications experience for understanding customer process problems, characterizing tool performance, and evaluating field performance.
* Metrology capability to develop innovative new measurements and metrics based on sound metrology principles; and to compare alternative techniques and discuss their merits both internally and externally.
* Algorithms knowledge for recommending to the development engineering team the implementation of new metrics in a way that achieves the required measurement performance.
The position has a small applications team reporting to it in support of these responsibilities. Approximately 25% travel is required, much of it outside the US.

| Skills: |
It is desirable if the candidate has direct metrology experience, particularly in the area of wafer shape measurements and metrics such as SFQR (Site Front least sQuares Range) and SBIR [site back ideal focal plane range] ; experience implementing complex image processing or metrology algorithms; and experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Basic Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have at least 7 years experience in a precision equipment or measurement company. Additionally, the qualified candidate must be a strong leader, and clear thinker with the ability to make compelling technical arguments
A Master's Level Degree in a technical field is also required.
