Minerals for Ceramics – Asia business unit
China based (Guangzhou)
About 50% of international travel
Our client is the world leader in industrial minerals operating international mines and pits and different minerals or mineral groups. Our client has an opportunity for a China Senior Geologist with 5 years experience in a similar position.
This role requires:
- Bachelor in geology or equivalent (with base of petrography and mineralogy)
- 3 years field experience max., like prospectors
- Working language in Mandarin and English and ideally another language
- Experience in deposit modelling reserve calculation (basic knowledge of mining software)
- Adaptability, networking and team work orientation
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Contributing to investment decisions of Asia Ceramics in China based on strong, robust prospecting, procedures, geological data and reserves evaluation
- Helping to calculate reserves/deposits potential and to produce models accordingly, in line with the company’s standards
- Helping to form a regular set of decisions on the prospection work towards acquisition
- Working together with business and operation managers
