| Our client, an international manufacturer located in the eastern suburbs of the Twin Cities, currently has a newly-created opening for a Technical Buyer. In this role, you’ll have comprehensive responsibilities as a buyer such as negotiating prices and terms, qualifying suppliers, and issuing requests for quotes, proposals, and information. You’ll also maintain the system that monitors orders, enter POs in SAP, represent the Purchasing department in regular meetings, and other duties as assigned. Your strong technical background and knowledge, including the ability to understand drawings, will allow you to succeed in this technical position.
Requirements for this position include 5 to 8 years minimum related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Engineering, experience in MRP Systems – SAP, logistics, MS Office, quality systems, an analytical aptitude, and strong written and oral communications skills. APICS and CPIM certifications are preferred.
