Purpose of Job
To function as one of the Darat Asset Unit Petrophysicists to provide Petrophysics input to the Darat Asset Unit WRM and FDP/RDS activities

The Seria filed has more than 1000 set of well logs and evaluated petrophysical data of different vintages.
Subordinates : The Darat Asset Unit Petophysics section consists of 2 other Petrophysicists and 1 technical assistant.

Principal accountabilities
As the Darat WRM Petrophysicist, provide mainly well/reservoir management and surveillance operation support to the WRM team. Main areas of accountabilities are:
• Provide operational input and support to well and reservoir surveillance activities, e.g. well reviews, cased hole (PNC-CO, PLT, etc) data acquisition for reservoir monitoring, drilling operations planning and support, including wellsite operations where necessary.
• Provide correct integration of petrophysical information, understanding and requirements into development plans and activity proposals.
• Translate well objectives and business requirements into fit-for-purpose, cost effective data acquisition strategy and programmes.
• Co-ordinate and QA/QC petrophysical log and core data acquisition activities, and provide operational petrophysical support and evaluation of new data acquired.
• Together with the studies team, review and analyse all available petrophysical data, enhance and validate petrophysical interpretation in order to optimise use and integration of data in the construction of static and dynamic reservoir models.
• Ensure the integrity of the corporate log database.
• Participate in the development and supervision of Bruneian staff. Coaching, mentoring & developing local Bruneian development staff will be an integral part of the job.
• Keep up to date with new technology developments within the discipline and acquire other PE disciplines basic knowledge to allow an active participation in multidisciplinary groups.
• Participate in the monthly PP discipline and logging contractors service quality meeting.

Qualifications Required :
• University graduate with good engineering/science degree or equivalent.

Experience : Petrophysics Skill
Geophysics (+quantitative interpretation) Knowledge
Geology Knowledge
Reservoir engineering Knowledge
• 5-10 years of Petrophysical and subsurface engineering experience, including wellsite drilling and logging/data acquisition operations experience/exposure.
• Broad experience in various logging technology and petrophysical interpretation technique, including open hole log, cased hole log, core analysis and core-log evaluation.
• Working experience in an integrated subsurface multi-discipline team.
• Working knowledge of PP-IT tools, data management and data integration.
Training : • Have obtained all basic core discipline and business related training.
Special Abilities : • Ability to work in an integrated multi-disciplinary and diverse cultural environment.
• Good and effective communication, interpersonal, presentation and reporting skills.
• Experience with coaching and mentoring junior and technical staff.
