NAVIGATOR DESCRIPTION:
The Lean Navigator plays an important role in the change program that will impact our processes, our culture, the way we collaborate for the benefit of the customers, whilst reinforcing our Management Principles in every single team and geography of the client.
The Lean Central team will be driving the Lean journey at the client for the coming 2 years. While the objective is to significantly increase client's operational and organizational efficiency, Lean Management takes a holistic approach that goes beyond pure process improvements. The uniqueness of the approach is also in the fact that all layers of managers and employees will be involved from the outset and will engage into a deep transformation.
The Lean Navigator assists during the 12 week wave. He/she is in charge of a work stream (i.e. one/two of the five Lean dimensions). He/she monitors the project goals and milestones. He/she drives change by bringing 'Lean' skills, methods and coaching to the business team. He/she gets managers and employees of the business team to go through their personal and collective self-discovery journey, commit to an ambitious future state and then initiate the implementation during several weeks via day-to-day coaching. The Navigator is supported and coached by his/her “stream lead” or “architect”.
Conduct Lean transformation project as part of a team of Navigators, according to the defined methodology.
1. Perform "shop floor" observations, data gathering, analysis and synthesis.
2. Define, plan, follow-up improvement actions.
3. Prepare and facilitate workshops with a variety of teams.
4. Act as a coach for business managers / staff during the Lean transformation.
Skills:
Successful candidates will have demonstrated the following key capabilities in previous assignments:
- Strong will to change, visionary mindset, strong people skills and strong interest in analytics
BS degree preferred or equivalent with an experience of:
- Min. 5 years of professional experience in Efficiency Improvement, Change Management and Lean methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (Specialist/Expert)
- Experience in Coaching / Managing is an asset (Specialist/Expert)
- Strong influencing skills
- Coping with pressure
- Adaptability to change
- Flexible to travel abroad (primarily to Europe)
- IMPORTANT – looking for “transactional” Lean consultants (not manufacturing
- IMPORTANT – consultants must have software development methodology and banking/financial services background in their previous Lean projects.
