Skills: Minimum qualifications: • Vietnamese Nationality, Male or female • At least 5 years experience in the Vietnam rice milling industry • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in agriculture, agricultural engineering or a related field • Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese (speaking, reading, writing) • Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks • Computer literate • Reliable, self-starter • Service oriented with good personality • Able to travel and work independently, resourceful
Job description:
• Develop a database of rice millers in the Delta area
• Assess and report the rice milling capabilities of the Delta area, including identifying and qualifying millers who can consistently mill rice to the specifications required
• Identify and work with a test milling facility to test mill trial samples
• Monitor the identity preservation process (IP) for production, milling, and shipment of test samples
• Work with selected millers to bring their milling facilities and operations up to the standards required, if necessary
• Implement an IP program IP with identified millers and farmers to ensure a consistent supply of selected varieties
• Develop a complete supply chain from farm to end users overseas
• Work with AgriSource staff to carry out other tasks as necessary to complete the project
