| Job description: |
Primary Purpose of Position
To provide safety and health management services on one of the onshore oil rig sites for an ERSME Ltd client based in the Kingdom.
Duties
Your duties will include refining and improving existing safety systems and the development and implementation of new initiatives, policies and procedures. This pivotal role involves all aspects of safety and health management on the rig site.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sound application of System Safety and Health standards, best practices and approved processes.
Be a dedicated, qualified and professional Safety Specialist to work at the rig site twenty four (24) hours, seven (7) days a week basis to perform various safety duties. You will be responsible for all aspects of rigs Safety plans, capable of administering a structured safety Programs, including identification of hazards, mitigation of identified hazards, and shall be responsible for all safety training as well as certification of employees in hazardous material awareness and survival; in addition to overseeing reporting, tracking and investigation of all operational incidents and formulating strategies to minimize loss.
Furthermore, you be responsible for the overall loss prevention program at the rig and shall ensure that the aforementioned activities are aligned with SAUDI ARAMCO policies and procedures.
Administration
Perform a range of administrative functions including the development and reporting of key performance requirements to senior management.
Reporting Relationships
The position reports directly to the rig manager based at each oil rig in Saudi Arabia who will work in conjunction with the ERSME project manager during the development and operation of the safety and health systems liaising with the GM of ERSME Ltd in Al-Khobar.
