The Candidate
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in textiles, manufacturing, garment development or related field. Minimum of 7 years experience in managing garment manufacturing processes, preferably in the outerwear, outdoor or action sports industry. Experience with technical materials and advanced product development, including exposure to the development and implementation of new concepts and materials in the manufacturing arena. Minimum of 3 years experience managing project planning. Solid product management skills. Strong knowledge of construction standards, engineering and manufacturing processes. Process and technology development background. Strong understanding of the consumer, retail environment and competitive marketplace. Thorough computer literacy knowledge and be proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Word, Excel and Power Point/ Key Note. Possess ability to verbally deliver project plans to design, merchandising, other business units, analysts, media, retailers, sales force and large groups. Work under pressure and to meet strict timelines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Extensive travel is required.

The Client
Our Client is one of the leading US-Multinational apparel manufacturing company.
The Job
The incumbent will assist in research and inquiry about new technologies and potential innovations and create a project plan to help drive the development process. Provide information as needed to aid in cross-functional teams developing and commercializing new innovation opportunities. Execute best practice R&D methodology and ensure that new products are thoroughly tested before introduction. Successfully execute mutually agreed upon plans, targets and objectives according to the Company’s current and future technology roadmaps. Support the Innovation Director in the analysis and evaluation of new material qualities in a timely manner. Organize and maintain library of new materials qualities. Actively identify opportunities for new technologies to be shared across product lines and for efficiencies in the manufacturing process. Provide technical support regarding new technologies to Liaison Offices, Manufacturing, and Quality departments. Develop key partnerships with external vendors. Communicate and actively interact in a cooperative, open basis with sales/marketing personnel, technical application specialists, process integration personnel, and personnel from other Company's facilities and Liaison Offices on key subjects related to R&D activities, process data and information, and other aspects of the Company’s technology. Support and follow the Company’s R&D protocols and procedures related to innovation. Suggest improvements and enhancements.
