JOB SPECIFICATION – PROJECT ENGINEER – TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT

• Technical Coordination During Execution
o Propose emergency technical solutions whenever needed on site and follow up their applications.
o Ensure the coherence of the chosen technical solution.
o Prepare the technical reports and follow up the daily and weekly progress reports.
o Keep track of the project operations and evolutions.
o Follow up and collaborate with the Projects Manager and project planner with regards to the establishment of the sequence of work.
o Ensure the efficiency of efforts and the continuity of works.
o Manage the technical variations and modifications during operations.
o Follow up the transmittals and submittals of documents.
o Facilitate the document exchange and monitor the document control.
o Preparation of method statements relating to the project activities particularly those that are not design-sensitive in nature.
o Make sure one is acquainted with the designer’s work and proposed technical solutions to ensure correct execution.
o Keeping track of the modifications made on the design and drawings.
o Following up with the surveyors with regards to the as built drawing.
o Monitor field changes and the right application of the design modification

• Communication
o Attending meetings with consultant engineers for the discussions and approval of designs.
o Ensure the contact with the client or client representative.
o Represent the department in project and regular meetings.

• Follow up
o Assisting the operations department with technical support and all design related issues.
o Keeping track of project programs and the design phases budgets.
o Follow up on quality controllers.
