JOB TITLE: QUANTITY SUVEYOR-COMMERCIAL- ALUMINIUM WORKS

REPORTS TO: CONTRACTS MANAGER
BUSINESS UNIT: AALC
JOB LOCATION: DUBAI, U.A.E. or any location as required by the Company

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible on the entire commercial and contracts matter during the project execution and successful completion of the Aluminium Works and Glazing Works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of this JOB:
Assisting supervisor to review the tender documents prior to submission of Tender.
Assisting supervisor for project budget preparation, procurement review and cost contract management.
Assisting supervisor for the Contractual Claims, Tender Reviews, and Preparation of Subcontract documents.
Reviewing contract documents and identifying variations between Contract documents and actual shop drawings.
Preparation of Subcontract orders, Subcontract Administration, in accordance with company procedures and provisions of the Subcontract.
Prepare disruption schedules, claim schedules, contra-charges etc., and recording all the relevant events and documents.
Carry out and advise on measurements as per the relevant method of measurement under the contract where applicable.
Initiate the Procurement and Submission of Performance and Advance Payment Bonds and maintaining schedule of submission and expiration and ensuring return of same on Project Completion.
IMPORTANT FEATURES OF THIS JOB:
· Preparation of Subcontract orders and settlement of Subcontractor’s final accounts in accordance with company procedures and provisions of the Subcontract.
Prepare disruption schedules, claim schedules, variation, contra-charges etc
COMUNICATIONS REQUIRED:
Internal:
· With the Contracts Manager to report performance against budgets, consult market trends and influence, and obtain support on a regular basis.
· On need basis, interaction with Technical department to gather technical detail of products for the project tendered and compiling of tender documents.
· Internal communications with Quality, Project, Technical, Production, Finance, Purchase and Commercial team.
External:
· Regular interaction with consultant/contractor to update present projects in progress and future project.
Regular interaction with suppliers and subcontractors in order to get better offer from them, which is an ingredient for us, to offer competitive price to our customers
AUTHORITY AND REPONSIBILITY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS AND MAKE DECISIONS:
· Attend negotiation meeting together with the Contracts Manager for finalization of disruption schedules, claim schedules.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED.
Graduate of Quantity Surveying/Building Surveying/Civil Engineering/ Architecture with at least 5 years working experience with same field.
Should have Technical know how or background of aluminium and glass.
Should have at least min. 3 years experience in the field or project execution.
Can work independently with a minimal supervision and has the ability to work under pressure.
Should be strong in computers.
Good communication skills.
Benefits:
Probation: Six (6) months
Nature of Position: Permanent
Monthly Salary Package: Payable in AED – to be negotiated at time of interview.
