Position Description
We seek a candidate with 2+ years of IT experience to work in a group focused on records management and archiving solutions. The successful candidate will have strong experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining efficient solutions to complex business requirements. The candidate should be experienced with broker-dealer or similar infrastructure systems in a highly critical and available environment. Primary responsibilities will be the system administration, design, coding, integration testing, and support of enhancements to existing applications and also creating new applications. Vendor products comprise a significant part of our portfolio and we expect a new hire to become an expert in them over time. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. The candidate must be comfortable communicating with business unit managers, developers, engineers and service managers. We are looking for someone who is self motivated, someone who can work independently and as a member of a team and work under pressure in a fast changing environment.
Skills Required
· Database server experience: DB2 preferred.
· Programming Languages: Perl, C, UNIX Shells.
· Products: Archive or Content Management products in general.
· Development experience with large UNIX based client-server systems.
· Strong UNIX server skills, especially Solaris and LINUX.
Skills Desired
· Experience with administration of integrated doument archiving and retnetion systems such as OnDemand, Mobius, or AXSOne. Sybase and MS SQL familiarity.
· Flex, CGI, C# and other UI development expertise a plus.
· Information retrieval, search or document mgt experience a plus but not required.
