Position Description
A position has opened in the Fixed Income Technology division for a talented C# developer within the Derivatives Processing group. DP is a global team covering OTC products such as Credit Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, FX and Commodities. The team concentrates on client centric functions, covering trade confirmations, cashflow management, margin processing and client statements. A new team is being formed in Montreal, which will cover specific products such as FX and Equity Swaps within the cashflow management group. The team requires a strong presence in NY time zone, which will improve our global coverage, together with an ability to tap into the local technology talent. The successful candidate requires a strong technical background as well as good communication skills. The candidate should have hands-on experience, preferably working in a Financial Services company in a production environment, involving both development and support.
Skills Required
Excellent working knowledge of the following technologies: C#.Net, Windows Forms, OOP. Sound understanding of Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming. Experience of iterative / agile development practices. Exposure to working a in global delivery team. The candidate must also strongly appreciate and understand the impact of code/environmental changes on the business unit. Comfortable with direct interaction with the business users at all levels. Have good communication skills, and be able to explain complex IT problems in simple business like terminology for ease of user’s understanding.
Skills Desired
· Familiarity with MQ, WCF, WPF, Java, SOAP and XSLT.
