| MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To implement ISO 14001 EMS and manage the development of solutions to environmental problems. To be actively involved in water and air pollution control, recycling, waste disposal, and public health issues in accordance with the Company & Regulatory Policies.
JOB OBJECTIVES
1. To conduct hazardous-waste management studies to evaluate the significance of the hazard, advise on treatment and containment, and develop plans to prevent mishaps.
2. To conduct research on the environmental impact of proposed construction projects, analyze scientific data, and perform quality-control checks.
3. To act as a resource for management and staff; provide technical support within area of responsibility.
4. To effectively communicate relevant issues to the other technical staff, managers and regulatory authorities.
Profile:
ISO 14001 Implementation
Excellent knowledge / experience in EMS
Experience in Construction companies
Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Environmental)
Project Management
Team Leadership
Supervisory Skills
Negotiation Skills
Computer Skills
Use logic to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons or facts associated with information or data to draw conclusions
Assess risk and impose appropriate restrictions
Evaluate information against a set of standards
Read and interpret maps, plats, charts, plans, blueprints and/or electrical schematics
Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Communicate information and ideas clearly and honestly in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
12 to 18 years related work experience as an Environmental Engineer
SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain standards of safety and comply with Companys Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements.
Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements
