| Hi,
This is Vinod Kumar working with VJIL Consulting Limited. We have a few opening coming up with our direct client and the details about the opening are as below:
Position : Oracle DBA.
Location : United Kingdom.
Duration : Long Term.
Experience Level : 3 yrs +
Job Decription:
- The person will provide day-to-day support of the current business applications databases and collaborate in the design of future databases supporting large-scale, high-transaction-volume Web-based services.
- Ensure timely and reliable database backup and recovery.
- Ensure database and Application Security & Availability.
- ERP Application System Administration.
- Monitor database space utilization and plan for growth.
- Monitor for and respond to database alerts.
- Optimize database related application performance.
- Provide expert level guidance and support to application developers and system administrators on database and SQL programming issues.
- Upgrade, Migrate, Install and test all Databases & Application software releases.
- Create and maintain database tables, indexes, and views.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience in ERP related database and System administration and/or database applications programming.
- Expert knowledge and experience with Oracle database administration.
- System Administration for one or more of the following: ERP, Supply Chain, Hyperion, BI, Oracle B2B.
- Efficient database design and implementation.
- Database and query performance tuning.
- Distributed databases, replication, and parallel query.
- LDAP usage / integration experience is a “plus”.
- Expert level SQL & PLSQL skills.
- Working knowledge of UNIX operating system.

- Consultants who are on HSMP Visa ( presently working in UK ) and HSMP Visa Stamped ( available to move to UK immediately ) can apply.
