| Responsibilities
• Manage & execute Oracle DB development & configuration tasks, schedule, work effort and status tracking on the progress
• Responsible for DB schema & data mode design
• Develop and execute DB setup scripts and perform DB server deployment
• Hands-on and solid experience in DBA tasks on DB backup, recovery, performance tuning, etc
• Well-versed & working experience in setting up DB clustering, auto failover, etc under 3-tier firewall in PRD-DR environment
• Ability to troubleshoot & dive into DBA & DB scripts problems that involve system hardware version & deployment complexity
• Experience in deployment approach of designing/deploying DB instances in cross time-zone & taken into account of the application hits & load during peak time
• To coordination with Data Centre and Infrastructure teams within the bank
• To prepare relevant documentation for DB activities
• Prepare, conduct and review of system tests, to ensure accuracy and completeness resulting in problem free-implementation.
• Involve in DEV , SIT, UAT, OAT, PRD and DR env
• Responsible for DB performance & stress testing
• Provide support during implementation of the DB server and integration/JDBC connectivity
• Ensure that all documentation, processes and methodologies used in the various phases of system and network are implement accordance with the Groups standards
• Analyze changes and impacts against the existing DB server setup
• Design, review and refine DB system configuration for performance & stability
• Attentive to defects fixes & pro-actively engaged in PSS preventive measure
• Analytical and systematic thinking and methodical organization.
• Possess sound communications skills
• Good interpersonal, persuasion, leadership and ability to drive work progress.
• Ability to mirror project/line manager responsibility
• Able to relate to business requirements and understand business drivers and imperatives
Requirements
Essential Skills / Experience:
Experience Profile [Minimum Years Experience]
• Hands on experience in Oracle DBA tasks (ie. recovery, backup, DB performance tuning, DB capacity planning, connection pool configuration, troubleshooting, etc) [> 6]
• PL/SQL and stored procedure development for application & table schema design [> 6]
• Has hands on experience in setting up DB server in Production & DR environment & auto session failover [> 5]
• Working knowledge on configuration & deployment Db server in Unix/AIX/Linux [> 5]
• Working experience in setting up SAN disk for DB storage [5]
• Working experience under Java/J2EE enterprise application env [4]
• Solution implementation experience that involves backend legacy system integration using queue-messaging mechanism [4]
• Familiar with EOD batch processing using stored procedure & Oracle interface table for data validation [4]
• Ability on setting table indexes based on functional requirement & application behavior & others [4]
• DB Integration experience with MQ server with the configuration of XA driver for messaging transaction rollback [4]
Desirable Skills / Experience:
• Knowledge of wholesale banking system is a plus and working experience in wholesale fee billing and pricing domain is a definitely an advantage
• Focused and willing to take on challenges
• Pleasant personality and able to work as a team player
• Analytical and systematic thinking and methodical organization
• Experience in a multinational environment and dealing with multi-countries' users
• Knowledge of different language will be an advantage. Conversant in Cantonese / Mandarin and written in Chinese will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server, MQ Server Oracle, Crystal Report is a plus
• Oracle DBA & Oracle Application Developer Certified highly desired
• Experience in enterprise architecture environment highly desired
• Familiar with EAI & EDI solution & concepts
Experience in PRD system hardware configuration & capacity sizing and estimation
