| Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all accounting activities handled by the Manila Center Finance Team.
- Provide leadership/mentoring to Manila finance team of 30+ people covering Financial Accounting for US, Mexico, Canada and Asia Pacific countries as well as AR collection for US and Canada.
- Lead monthly closing, reporting, and GL account reconcillations for all entries supported by Manila Team.
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity and proper disclosures of accounting and financial reports generated - monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Responsible for delivering Annual Statutory Accounts and Tax Filings (VAT, EWH Tax, Income Tax) for the Philippine entity, working with external auditors and Tax advisors to prepare and action adjustments.
- Ensure timely delivery of completed accounts and tax filings to meet local statutory requirements.
- Responsible to develop, implement, and maintain internal control processes and procedures.
- Participation in negotiations with suppliers as needed.
- Establish and maintain systems/controls, which verify integrity of all systems processes and data.
- Researching and resolving technical accounting issues, facilitating internal and external audit process.
- Work closely with local Management team, Asia Pacific FP&A and US HQ Finance team to provide accurate data as needed.
- Provide day to day guidance to administration team of 4 in supporting 400+ Manila based technical employees.
- Assist with facility management as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 7-10 years experience as Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) including preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Returns for a Philippine company, submission of VAT returns, Governmental Reporting (i.e., PEZA) and Managing Annual Audits.
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills - experience in managing a finance team is a plus.
- Pro-active and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage time and priorities efficiently and effectively, working to and managing deadlines.
- High degree of integrity.
- Ability to have an hands-on approach to the business and to positively influence change and growth.
- Knowledge of US GAAP is an advantage.
- Required language(s): English.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City.
- Applicants should be Filipino citizens or hold relevant residence status.
