| Job description: |
| Senior level mechanical engineer. Develops scope and estimate documentations. Manages junior level staff and schedule. Develops Material Flow Diagrams. Develops and manages mechanical discipline execution strategy. Prepares and reviews engineering specifications. Develops equipment layout drawings, Reviews vendor generated design data and documentation. Coordinates technical details of vendor provided mechanical and process equipment with other engineering disciplines to support their design deliverables.
Qualifications: International travel required. Significant (10 - 15 years) functioning in a mechanical engineering role. Significant bulk solid material handling of granular, pellet, and powder materials relating to the glass / pellet manufacturing industries. Specific areas of experience desired: continuous and batch processing systems of bulk material handling, metering, weighing, magnetic separation, and mixing of multiple ingredients.
System design experience with product crushing, grinding, and recycling of glass / plastic is beneficial.
Experience with some (if not all) of the following types of equipment:
Vibratory conveyors, Air Slides, Magnetic separation, Rotary / Flapper type diverters, Bag Dump stations, Mass-flow bins & silos, Bucket elevators, Sheet crushers, Bagging stations
AutoCAD and Solidworks experience is desired.
