| Al Fara’a Properties, one of the leading property developers in Dubai is looking to recruit a Design Manger. Al Fara’a Properties employ talented individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills and experience and offers the opportunity to be a part of a fast paced, professional organization.
The role of a Design Manager will include the following but not limited to-
1. Assist all PMs with their projects which will be at various stages of design, tender and construction
2. Prepare design programmes in conjunction with the designers
3. Source consultants for the development director’s consideration
4. Monitor consultants progress against programme and review delays and methods of mitigation
5. Review all development design codes and submission procedures
6. Participate and assist designers in the design process and development of design drawings
7. Prepare and develop project briefs for all projects
8. Review NOC and authority submissions for all projects with the PMs and consultants
9. Observe the change management procedure that will be implemented by AFP
10. Liaise with other parties, i.e. material suppliers, model makers, perspective designers, contractors
11. Review all drawings and specifications and provide PMs with detailed reports for closing out with the consultants
12. Manage outstanding schedules for close out with consultants
13. Review drawings and provide best practice and design procedures to the client, consultant and other stakeholders
14. Assist the PMs during the construction meetings and site works (wherever required)
15. Propose materials and suppliers to client for consideration
16. Develop the progress and skills set of the assistant project manager
17. Contribute towards the weekly progress meetings and internal reports
18. Build relationship with all authorities and master developers in order to ensure that project design issues are promptly resolved
19. Rigorously review all drawings and provide comments for team consideration. Aim is to eradicate all issues.
20. Review drawings and consultant specifications for cross co-ordination between various disciplines
21. Prepare and Issue RFPs for various consultancy disciplines .
