| The Production and Maintenance Manager will implement the lean manufacturing process, tools and techniques in the Unit under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
He will be responsible for continuous improvement of physical flows of products in the unit, productivity and manufacturing activities from supplier deliveries to finished goods availability. He will manage detailed scheduling and people/team organisation to adapt resources to work load, with the required flexibility and skills.
He will help improve EHS conditions by better organization of workstations and Safety means. He will improve the usage rate of equipments by defining and applying preventive and curative maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
• Improve or maintain utilization rate of production equipment by direct action or triggering the Site Maintenance and/or External Suppliers. Very critical with SMW, Riveting guns, air lines, electrical and pneumatic equipments
• In the initial phase of the unit, to support all necessary aspects of the industrial set-up, including contributing to the monitoring and accompanying the various stages of erection and preparation of the industrial facilities & commodities on an ad-hoc basic
• Participation in PDMS meetings. Weekly participation to PDMS meetings and implementation of actions to solve problems. To set up measures and MEASURE the efficiency of actions
• Set up and regular reporting of Environment impact. Power consumptions: action plans for reduction to be set up on a yearly basis.
• Push for the on time delivery of projects catch the turnover as targeted
• Determine the investment needs of the Department
• (Re)-Action in case of any quality problem faced in the production and final control phases.

Specific Requirements
• University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
• Experience of production improvement processes (6 sigma, lean manufacturing, methodologies or similar)
• Maintenance skills (Good knowledge in electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics)
• Industrial approach, follow-up of actions, financial management on industrial issues
• Very Good English & Arabic |
