| Job Description: |
| Working with the Development Division Manager, provide strategic leadership for the design and development of all countywide software application solutions. Responsible for managing and mentoring a team of technical developers including utilizing team members strengths while keeping activities in synch with practical delivery and business value. Must be proficient at translating the business process into technical requirements, providing resource estimates, managing contracts, and working closely with the Project Management Office to keep staff on project schedules. Prior software development experience and a clear understanding of service oriented architecture (SOA) is essential. Other responsibilities include leading major project development efforts, influencing key technical decisions, communicating critical technical issues, and specifying requirements and constraints for design and implementation. Ability to work harmoniously with project leads, technical staff, other departments, contractors, and subordinates. |
| Skills: |
Bachelors of Science Degree required in Information Technology or equivalent experience plus five (5) years progressive knowledge in a N-Tier software development environment as a manager. |
